FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION
FINDING YOUR EXISTING UNICOM LICENSE
If you already have an FCC Unicom Station license, to get a reference copy
To begin, click this link FCC Advanced License Search
From within the window, select MATCH
ONLY
and from the pull-down "AF," to limit the to "Aeronautical Fixed"
Then proceed directly to
searching by location,
clicking on the
link on the bottom of FCC web page
In the next page, I just enter the
zip code of the airport location
For some unknown reason, with 1 km it cannot find the licenses, but 4 seems to
do the trick
I leave it kilometers because it is one less click, and it makes the Belgians
feel good.
Then, once again, hit
It will seem as if the FCC system has hung, just wait.
Eventually you will see a listing of stations for that location
Next click on the FCC ID (which has no relationship to anything else in the universe)
Then click on Reference Copy to get a PDF link for your license
And PRESTO, there's your reference copy!
Wasn't that easy, intuitive, and straightforward?
